Information collected by the site

Ridge & Route serves static pages. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server records (the requesting address, the browser string, the file asked for, and the time of the request) in order to deliver pages and block abusive traffic.

Contact messages

If you email us, we use the information you choose to provide to read and respond to your message. Please do not send passwords, account numbers, or other sensitive personal information.

Analytics

When analytics is enabled, we may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which guides are read and how far the page is scrolled). GA4 may set cookies and collect aggregated usage data. This section will be updated with the exact measurement configuration before analytics is introduced.

Advertising

Ridge & Route is planned to be funded by advertising. The site currently carries a Google AdSense publisher tag (ca-pub-8112475685869067) and an ads.txt declaration, but no AdSense ads are served and no advertising network requests are made to Google until advertising is activated. A Google Funding Choices consent loader is also present so that consent can be collected before any personalized ads run. When advertising is enabled, this page will be updated to describe Google AdSense and any other vendors, the cookies and similar technologies used, personalization, and the controls available to you. Advertising will not change the editorial scope of the guides.

For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized advertising requires consent obtained through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) that supports the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF).
