Send a correction, question, or route idea.
A correction is the easiest message to act on. Send the page address, the sentence or figure you doubt, and whatever you checked it against: a land-manager page, a manufacturer sheet, or your own trip notes. When a source is attached, the fix is usually applied the same week.
Questions about how a guide was assembled, or about the planning method behind it, are welcome too. Judgement calls about one particular trip ( conditions on a given weekend, a permit for one specific site ) sit outside what a planning page can settle, so those come back as a pointer rather than a verdict.
Every message reaches a person. Most are answered within a few days, and a correction that holds up gets folded into the guide itself.
What this address is not for
Ridge & Route is not a retailer and cannot help with an order, a warranty claim or a delivery. Those belong with the seller, who can see your account and this site cannot. Questions about conditions or rules at a specific place on a specific date should go to the land manager, whose answer will be current and this site's will not be.

A routing suggestion is a third kind of message, and it needs one extra piece of information: what the plan was meant to achieve. A loop described only by distance tells us little, while a loop described by the water sources, the road access at each end and the overnight options in between tells us whether the current guide covers it or whether a separate page is warranted. Include the season you walked it, because a route that works in dry conditions can be a different proposition after snowmelt.
For a missing subject, the most useful framing is a decision rather than a topic. A note asking how to weigh a permit lottery against a first-come site, or how to judge whether a route suits a group with mixed experience, points at a gap this site can actually fill. Broad topic requests tend to duplicate pages that already exist, so it helps to check the guide sections first and name the specific question left unanswered.
When a correction is confirmed, the guide itself is edited and the change is reflected in the page text rather than appended as a footnote. The reasoning behind a recommendation is rewritten where the original reasoning was wrong. This means a corrected page may read differently from an older copy you saved, and that is intentional: the current version is the one meant to be used.
